NTX has been a roller coaster which includes rolling over UNLV 44-6

My hunch : Tulsa 31 NTX 24  Golden Hurricanes score a DST touchdown.

Utah St blanked Troy in the 2nd half for a 21-10 win

UMass beat Sac St and is  undefeated in September- that is a rarity.

James Madison, Boise State & New Mexico are getting some early chatter involving the 12 team bracket.

Week 3 OOC games

 Herd wins a  24- 23 squeaker at MOSU C. Del Rio-Wilson has a big game

SDSU wins  over visiting JMU by a score of 21-17. L. Sutton rushes for close to 100 yards

Unsure why I think ECU upsets  ODU  by a score of 28-24 on the road. Perhaps Ashton Gray  has a solid rushing game for the Pirates.

Blue Hens hold on at home 27-24 over CCU.  Minicucci QB, tosses a few TD passes.

Coleman tossed 2 TD passes in JMU win over SDSU. Herd D blanked the Bears in the 4Q for a 30-24 win.

MOH gave Cincy (Big12) a tough game before falling 35-31. MOH will face UConn , who defeated USM(SBC), this Saturday before MAC play starts.

Cole Tabb rushes for a 53 yard touchdown in the final two minutes for the Bearcats win.

 It was the first JMU/SDSU met on the gridiron. It was arranged as a stand-alone matchup after Virginia Tech canceled the JMU game to get to 9 ACC games.

Week 2 some closes OOC games

 ECU(AAC)  rushing game should be better against Appy(SBC) than it was against Bama. ECU 24 Appy 20

BUFF(MAC) @FIU(CUSA) Neither team has been good but maybe they have a tiny bit of hope. Perhaps Holmes and Kohl gives us an aerial show.  Kohl  will do better and lead FIU to a 21-17 victory.

UTSA(AAC) visits TXST(PAC12), who is coming off a beatdown by the Horns.  It goes down to wire  with the Roadrunners winning on the road 27-24

Only correct choice was picking FIU over BUFF. Kohl tossed 3TDs for FIU. Wright tossed two TDs for the Bulls. Holmes was benched in the 2Q.

Wild to see Tulsa(AAC) getting some top 25 consideration, and maybe they'll get there if they can beat Arkansas & NTX in the next few weeks.

 I like the regional  old time matchups. First time in 20 years  KU hosts the Border War on its home field.  Mizzou leads the series: 58–54–9 

Both Missouri and Kansas won their openers over 1AA teams.

Buhr kicked two FGs  for Iowa in the 4Q to beat Iowa St 16-13.   Jimmy Rodgers , who left Wazoo to replace Matt Campbell, had the Cyclones D in high gear for a rugged matchup.

Campbell took the Penn St job.

UVA(ACC) vs West Virginia(Big 12) on 9/19, 2026, at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, NC . UVA leads the series 12–10–1. First matchup was in 1898.

MD/VA from their ACC days  is more of a border War.

Hawkins, the WV QB, leads the team in rushing.  Pribula, the Cavs QB, has tossed 5 TD passes.

My gut says WV 24 UVA 23.

Big cross state game that's not quite a border war, but there's some old time ACC history of  uppity UNC of the Tobacco Road 4  playing Clemson. Plus you have Belichick vs Dabo.

I know its more serious in hoops history.

Bama /Miss St, two 4-0 teams play this Saturday. Bothwell has 402 yards rushing this season for the Bulldogs.

 It got me thinking about Jackie Sherill's 8-0 team in 1999 before Bama then Arkansas beat them. They tied with Bama for the the SEC West and finished 13th in the AP poll after a Peach Bowl win over Clemson.

FLA(Spurrier) beat Bama(Mike Dubose) in the SEC title game.

Week 1- some MWC OOC picks

 San Jose St(MWC) @ EMU(MAC). Luke Weaver led SJSU to some late points in a 42-26 loss to the USC Trojams. EMU beat SAC St. last week. Perhaps a Noah Kim/ Luke Weaver shootout in this one . EMU wins at home 28-27

Wyoming(MWC) will lose on the road to Colorado St(PAC12)  27-23

I'll go with UNM (MWC) to defeat  CMU(MAC) 24-21

If I were a betting man, I'd be tempted to take Tulane(AAC) +7.5  @ Duke
