Terp guy blogging:. When I was much younger, South Carolina's exit(1971) and GT's hoops entrance(1979) to the ACC irked me. Now, I'm noticing the former PAC12 teams , Stanford and Cal, and former AAC team SMU, creeping up in the basketball standings.
SMU beat NCSU, Stanford beat NCSU, and CAL trounced MIA yesterday. S. Yiğitoğlu scored 20 for the Mustangs.GT football joined the ACC in 1983.

Four in a row for the Terps after beating Wisky last night.. D.Queen -12 rebounds.
Stanford and SMU won and moved into a three way tie for fourth in the ACC.

SMU AD Rick Hart, who has led the athletic department since 2012, will step down at the end of the academic year. Maybe he's tired or something else is going on. Kind of odd after a successful football season.

Reading a book on the ACC and was reminded that Carl Tacy had a decent run(1972-85) at Wake Forest which included beating Depaul in the 1984 Dance to make it to the Elite 8. DePaul had Tyrone Corbin. WF had Danny Young & Mugsy Bogues.
WF hired Tacy away from Marshall U.

43 points from D. Colt, 30 in the first half, saved the Terps from the B10 basement. MD 96 PSU 73. We're tied with the Ducks for 15th place.

Bad enough the Terps are in the bottom 4 of 18 teams that play a round 1 Big10T game, but the B10 network didn't carry it and farmed it out to Peacock. Crazy days. Terps' beat the Ducks and advance to play Iowa in another game I won't see.
