Non power team that may advance toward Omaha.

Southern Miss is one of the 16 regional host. UVA , Ark-LR , and  Jacksonville St are in the Hattiesburg, MS bracket. Jax St  was awesome in the CUSAT  and looks strong going into this regional

They didn't have many power conference opponents They beat AUB, lost to Bama, and lost 2 of 3 to Cincy.

Cooper Blauser led  the Gamecocks with 53 RBI.
I'm not ignoring the host but Jax St is the hottest team in this bracket.

ECU got hot in the AAC tournament and opens with the Vols in Chapel Hill. Herring knocked in 51 runs for the Pirates this season.

I caught some of the ECU game. The Pirates bunted home run 3 in the 13th inning, then the Vols tied it at 3.. In the 14th inning ECU outscored them 4-0 for the 7-3 win

I thought SHSU was going to win the game against KENN, who roared back in the second half for the W and faces LT, who beat MOST, in the CUSA final.

UMBC, my alma mater, faces Vermont in the A-East final, It would be funny if the Retrievers made the Dance and faced UVA, coached by Odom., who coached UMBC in the 2018 Dance upset of UVA.

Dominique Daniels Jr., the all-time leading scorer in CBU's Division I era, signed a deal on 06/26/26 to play for the New Orleans Pelicans in the 2026 NBA Summer League. He was the 2026 WAC PoYand helped guide the Lancers to their first March Madness appearance.

This occurred on 7/11/26.  Mario Saint-Supéry , a Spaniard and the Zags starting PG last season, signed with Valencia of the EuroLeague . He  averaged 8.6 points and 3.8 assists, shooting 40.3 percent from 3-point range. Gonzaga is a PAC12 member now.
